Event Overview

This event is designed for educational leaders ready to improve math outcomes. We'll explore:

  • why learners struggle with math
  • how strengthening teachers' math understanding leads to more confident, relevant instruction
  • what system supports need to be in place to ensure effective implementation

Participants will learn how the Foundations of Math (FoM) professional learning opportunity helps educators deepen their math knowledge and deliver accessible instruction. Leaders will gain practical strategies to build a system that supports both teachers and students in succeeding across all programs.

Rachel Tabron
Rachel Tabron is a Math Accessibility Specialist with Alt+Shift. Rachel holds a Bachelor of Arts from Aquinas College and a Master of Education from Grand Valley State University. Rachel has over seven years of experience as a special education teacher, as well as seven years of experience as a special education supervisor. Rachel lives in Belmont, MI with her husband and two sons. She enjoys reading, chasing around her kids, crafting, and going on adventures.
